Dumb Things that Buckethead Haters Say

Good evening everybody, so having a channel that mostly deals in all things Buckethead, means that on a regular basis the haters and bedroom guitarists come sniffing around, looking for the attention they lack at home.
So today, we're gonna take a look at some of the dumb things that these buckethead haters say, and see if they hold any weight. Which they don't...obviously. Woo!!

1) “Buckethead's just a shredder, he plays fast, but has no emotion”
First up, the most overused dumb comment that you'll see “Buckethead's just a shredder, he plays fast, but has no emotion”

(sigh) Jesus. Does Buckethead shred like a psycho? Hell yeah. Are the 400+ albums that he's credited on just pure shred? Don't be ridiculous.

Even if two-thirds (2/3) of those albums were shred (which they're not) that still means Buckethead would have at least 133 non-shred albums. More albums than The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses and Nirvana combined.
And if you think non of those 400+ albums and 2500+ songs have any emotion, you deserve to be kicked in the dick and thrown off a boat.

2) “I don't listen to Buckethead because he wears a KFC bucket and mask. It's silly.”

Number 2 indeed.

This is by far the dumbest reason for not liking Buckethead, and if you do think this way, then for the sake of humanity, you need to be sterilized immediately. Ya muppet!
Here to some it up is our good friend and arguably the fastest guitarist to ever live, Rusty Cooley.
“that's retarded! That's retarded! That's like saying I don't wanna listen to KISS because they have make-up on. I don't understand that, you don't have to listen with your eyes, listen with your ears”.

3) “Slash is better, that's why he's more famous and has bigger hits”
Number Three, “Slash is better, that's why he's more famous and has bigger hits”.

As I've mentioned in previous videos, when comparing guitarists ,the term 'better' is subjective and pretty much means which one you prefer more.
If we're talking about 'technique' or the 'most skilled' well, we all know its game over.
There's no doubt that Slash is more famous and has way more hits, but, if you think that has nothing to do with being in a band, having Axl Rose as your singer, and being backed by a billion dollar record company, you're out of your friggin' mind.
Both Slash and Buckethead are great in their respective fields, but disliking one because of the other is of course, dumb. You can still like Brian Johnson even if you preferred Bon Scott. Ya know?
 

4) “Buckethead's stuff all sounds the same”
Number 4 “Buckethead's songs all sound the same”. Ah, ignorance is bliss.

Does Buckethead use the same licks or 8 finger nubs in some of his songs? Absolutely.
Did he spend years perfecting these techniques to use them once and then never use them again? Of course not.

We've already mentioned how many songs and albums Buckethead has, and I guarantee if you've ever said that his stuff “all sounds the same” its either because a) you've only listened to 3 of his songs on Youtube b) you're dumb or c) that wax is thick. Oh, or D) all the above.

So what dumb things have you heard Buckethead haters say and did you kick em in the nuts when they said it. Woo!!
